What actually gave us the biggest surprise when we visited Lake Hornborga
on a post-cranes trip around the middle
of May, was the wealth of flowering trees. All over the coastal inland on
the eastern side of the Lake Hornborga,
you just couldn't miss them out. They were all over, as shown on the picture
above.
Most of the wild flowering trees are common cherries, but also bird-cherries
and a few fruit-trees are represented.
If for nothing else, its well worth a trip to Lake Hornborga at this time
of the year.
