2006 However, I have no previous experience, and neither
the necessary antenna-equipment. |

April 11th, 2005: 1st QSOs in ten years today:
DJ6IH
(rst 569) and LY4BR (rst 579) on 7 Mhz
with a 2,5 m MFJ HF mobile antenna

April 15th: Improving a bit.
Now my old 40 m windom is lying on the roof of our house!
with the following results on 20 meter:
14.30 UTC 4KR6ØS
599, 15.25 UTC UA9CCL 599, 16.20 UTC ZA1MI 579, 1750 UTC 5R8FU 569
MALAGASY
and on 40 meter: 1828 UTC R3K 599, 0407 4Z4DX
579
Prepare to put it up 2
meters above the roof tomorrow, Saturday.
Saturday April 16th:
Now I'm back on the air again!
WAC during the first 24 hours:
Korea, Indonesia, Malagasy, Brazil, USA and Andorra
and a russian arctic expedition at 89° N, near the North Pole.
Wednesday, May 4th:
Just found that my windom works on 10 and 18 Mhz, too!
Well, just 5w output on 10Mhz, but worked DX: 4X4 and TA3 last night. Now
10 countries worked.
Now also on 18Mhz with 40w output. 2 countries worked.
That means LI6CF will be on all bands from 10 to
160 m.
However, 28Mhz seems almost dead at present.
Tuesday, May 10th, 2005
Now I am really back again, with my new (used) ICOM 757
Ready for all bands CW and SSB and will be as LI6CF
next week.
How is it to be back after 10 years QRT?
Some thoughts about contests anno 2005.
January 5th,
2006
last day QRV from this QTH. Now moving to Ulefoss, Telemark
apprx. 59°17'N 9°14'E, about 100 km westward.
Hopefully will be back
again late in March or first part of April from here:
YES, I'M BACK ON AIR AGAIN!
February 23rd at
1506 made the first QSO with UE6ANT on 20 m with my antenna
half way lying on the roof, hanging down from two tall trees, the one in the
middle of the picture,
and the one left for the TV-antenna.
First DX was AE1N the nest day, then 7Q7VB on 30 m followed by FS/DL7DF on
80 m !!!
So with part of the antenna covered with snow (have about 2 feet/60cm on the
roof)
worked TO2ANT and FS/DL7DF on 40 m and NP2 ON 20 m.
Finally, on March 3rd, raised the antenna half meter (2 inches) above the
snow....
and got EX8MLE on 40 m, followed the next day by HQ9F both on 80, 40, 30 and
20 m.
Who can ask for more? I am happy again.
March 24th: Up more than 2 meters above roof, and first one to come was HC8,
new one!
now California is THAT away (NW)

towards NE (Japan etc)

ESE (Arabia, Indian Ocean)
SE towards Malagasy and Reunion.
July 2006:The windom out to the left with the baloon, in center the new dipole,
2x7m (15-30m)
August 2006: Now also 2x20m (20-40-80m) dipole changeable with the windom
antenna.

May, 2007 - antenna-park has changed. None is higher than about 7-8 m above
ground (2m above roof)
More about my new QTH, click here.
April 25th 2008:

I left my TA33Jr back in 1965, now I have got a MA5B, Multiband Beam Antenna
for 10-12-15-17-20m
and this is from now on my only antenna in use on the higher bands.
June 20th 2009:
Ever had a beam without a rotor? I have had mine for a year now, in and out
the outdoor,
up a ladder, unscrew some holders, turn the antenna around, run down the ladder...
back to the schack and the DX has gone QRT.
Even more funny at wintertime. So I usually keep it in one direction for a
week or so,
toward Japan, Africa, South America or US West Coast.
Now, today, I got a rotor. Life has changed......
