Our Beautiful World

From 70° to 71° North - by Car
Ekkerøy

The home of seabirds.

At the right time of the year, when they are breeding, the cliffs here are covered by seagulls.

The only nesting cliff in Finnmark that can be accessed by road.
Protected as a wildlife reserve. Paths lead around the area.
Ekkerøy is a traditional fishing village with a compact community and particularly picturesque surroundings.

Then, when summer comes, the beach here are as well covered, but now by people.
Can you image why?

Wondering when autumn is over up here -
these birds ought to thing of going south, soon.
